Proper oral rest posture, also known as resting mouth position, is when your tongue, lips, and jaw are in the following positions:
Tongue - Your tongue is against the roof of your mouth, but not touching your front upper teeth
Lips - Your lips are closed over your teeth without stretching
Teeth - Your teeth are slightly apart
Breathing - You breathe through your nose
When we`re not speaking or eating, our tongue 👅 should be resting on the roof of our mouth (not the bottom), our lips should be gently closed, our teeth slightly apart (2-3 mm posterior & 4-6 mm anterior just in case you`re interested in measuring how far apart our teeth should be), all while breathing through our nose.
📌 Remember correct oral rest posture should be in play 24/7 even both when awake or asleep.

🦷 Teeth APART
👃 BREATHE through your NOSE
